Historically, her follow-ups involved cardiac MRI scans—time-consuming and intimidating for many children. Using VMS+, her care team captured the necessary data in under ten minutes, without the need for sedation or cMRI scheduling.

Using VMS+, her care team captured the necessary data in under ten minutes, without the need for sedation or cMRI scheduling. ☺ The East Midlands Congenital Heart Centre, UK has been using VMS+ for over 10 years to assess children and young people with pulmonary regurgitation following a tetralogy of Fallot repair. Traditionally, assessing right ventricular function in these patients required a cMRI; a lengthy process often requiring sedation, which posed logistical and health challenges. With VMS+, clinicians were able to quickly acquire volumetric measurements using standard 2D echocardiography images. The device’s proprietary algorithms reconstructed the right ventricle in three dimensions, providing rapid insights into its function. |
